Our treatment rooms are located on the second floor of Bolder Climbing Elevated. Please check in at the main floor desk upon arrival and head upstairs for your appointment.

Please note, there is ONLY stair access to the second floor at this time.

First time visitors to the clinic/gym will be required to sign an additional gym waiver in addition to their clinic intake form. You can use this link to fill out the gym waiver in advance: gym waiver

Refer a Friend Program

For our current clients, refer a friend, and you will receive a $15 credit on your account to use for a future service. Credits can be used for any service and can be transferred between clients. Please remind your referral to mention it was YOU we have to thank!

*Referral credits are NOT available for referral for physiotherapy services, as per Physiotherapy Alberta regulations. Referrals must be new clients who have never booked or attended Bolder Health and Performance before. New referrals must attend their appointment for the referee to receive their credit of $15. Credits have no cash value and do not expire.

HIP Mobility Group Class 6-week Package

Please call or visit the front desk to buy this special rate package. 403-930-3544. First class started April 11, 7-8pm. Drop-ins have the option of booking online.

Cancellation and No-show Policy

We require 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. All appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a cancellation fee of $50. Classes pre-booked (other than with a package) and cancelled within 24 hours or no show will be charged $20. Illness and emergency circumstances are the exception to this rule. Please call the clinic to cancel if you become ill prior to your appointment and we would be happy to reschedule to a later date.

Mobility Classes

We are excited to now offer group mobility classes! These classes are ideal for anyone looking to improve their active movement potential safely and affectively, using Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) techniques.

Kayla is a physiotherapist, climber, mother, and co-owner of Bolder Health and Performance.

Kayla graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy following a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. Practicing as a registered physiotherapist, she has worked extensively in private practice working with a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions.

Kayla has a strong interest in additional post-graduate education, which has included certification in acupuncture, biomedical dry needling, Active Release Technique, advanced manual therapy courses through the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and the ordering of diagnostic Imaging. She has taken additional training in the assessment and treatment of shoulder conditions and injuries, elbow and pelvic injuries, assessing movement patterns including climbing movement assessments, running gait assessment, and blood flow restriction.

Her approach to rehab is centred around analyzing movement patterns and postures, creating functional progressive exercises and using manual therapy techniques to address altered mechanics and restore optimal mobility and function. She is also very keen on patient education, helping patients establish realistic goals, and focusing on self-management.

Kayla has a special interest in climbing related injuries and injury prevention, and has taught youth education workshops on preventing injury in youth competition climbers. She also has a keen interest in non-operative shoulder management.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family or at the local climbing gym. She enjoys running, bouldering, snowboarding, golf, wakeboarding.

Zoe grew up in Montreal as a competitive figure skater which spearheaded her interest in treating sports injuries and working with athletes. She completed her Bachelor of Sciences degree at Queen’s University, which is where she first began rock climbing with the local climbing club. She quickly fell in love with the sport and the community. She moved to Calgary in 2019 to pursue climbing adventures in the mountains. She earned her Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in December 2022. Zoe’s goal is to create treatment plans that are deeply intertwined with the individual’s goals and interests. She has a strong belief in the healing power of movement, and incorporates exercise and education at the forefront of her care. She strives to help individuals get back to the sports they love in the healthiest form possible. Having taken clinical courses on running injuries, climbing finger injuries, as well as concussion management, Zoe has the knowledge to assess and treat a wide variety of conditions. Outside of work, Zoe loves to play in the mountains in as many different ways as possible. You may find her at the local crag, skiing fresh pow in the backcountry, running along steep mountain trails, or fueling her love of coffee at the nearest cafe.

Nicole strongly believes in climbers helping climbers, she loves to help treat climbing specific injuries and improve mobility and performance. She developed a passion for climbing while at the University of Saskatchewan getting her Kinesiology degree, before pursuing her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

Nicole’s treatment style involves an individualized, rehab focused approach. She utilizes manual therapy to increase mobility, decrease pain, and restore function. Then gives exercises and modifications to strengthen tissues, and get you back to doing what you love. She DOES NOT just “crack your back” and send you out the door. She highlights establishing clear, achievable goals in both the short and long term. Nicole works with the entire body as a whole, and has a special interest in treating the hand, shoulder, and knee.

Nicole has received additional education in dry needling, and Functional Range Conditioning. She is apart of the “Rock Rehab Community” of climber focused health care, and has attended the Canadian Medical Climbing Symposium.

Antoine Rodriguez is an osteopathic manual therapist having graduated after 5 years of study at the Collège Ostéopathique Européen in France, 2016.

After graduation, he spent 5 years practicing osteopathy in France before moving to Canada. His experiences have led him to work with different demographics such as infants, prenatal/postnatal clients, athletes and geriatric clients. Antoine is registered with the Alberta Association of Osteopathic Manual Therapists (AAOMT) and since moving to Canada, has been practicing in Calgary since 2021.

His practice of osteopathy is unique to each patient, utilizing a broad scope of skills which include deep tissue massage as well as myotensive, structural, functional/fascial, visceral and cranio-sacral techniques.

His passion for sports led him to pursue a training exploring the practice of osteopathy in relation with athletes. Through the years, Antoine had the opportunity to work with his local running and soccer clubs in France and during this period, he helped athletes understand the cause of their injuries through osteopathic assessment and treatments.

Samuel graduated with honors from MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy. Initially choosing massage therapy as a lifestyle change, Samuel has discovered a new and deepening interest in the human body and all of its amazing systems and complexities. He is particularly drawn to therapeutic and remedial massage, including myofascial work, dynamic cupping, active techniques, and joint mobilizations. He loves to treat neck, shoulders, and hips, and has predominantly worked with clients who have chronic pain or mobility issues. Samuel prefers a collaborative approach and likes to get his clients actively involved in their treatments, while providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively take care of their bodies and maintain their health.

As a lifelong learner, Samuel enjoys doing research and takes regular massage-related courses in an effort to build a well-informed, evidence-based practice. His passion is teaching and he hopes to one day instruct other aspiring massage therapists. Outside of massage, Samuel stays active with hiking, biking, and bouldering. He is obsessed with specialty coffee and can talk endlessly about this subject!
